Elegy

Elegy
Lyrics & composition: Hasegawa Tadashi
Translation by Yuri_Nikko

When I forget your teary face, one more screw loosens
On the verge of paralysis, wounds mean nothing
Like being scolded by a swarm of crickets chirping in my ear
I’m lost in the green, as they multiply in my elegy

Just the seasons are sweet, they’ve grown silent
it’s sort of absurd that my dreams haven’t died
Someone called out in the twilight as I turned
the red light I saw was knocked down in my elegy

―――an insane outline that’s what I am, I got wounded
I traced the outline but maybe it’s too late to recover now?
I’ve failed and in the blowing wind the farewell bell tolls

When I forget your teary face, one more screw loosens
On the verge of paralysis, wounds mean nothing
I’ve lost focus that was reflected across the lens
I was charmed by the backlight, exposed in my elegy

―――an insane outline that’s what I am, I got wounded
I traced the outline but maybe it’s too late to recover now?
I’ve failed and in the blowing wind the farewell bell tolls
farewell bell tolls
